Grateful Is An Understatement

As we head into our last city before Thanksgiving break, I’ve been feeling all the feelings. This time of year gets busy (like, really busy) and sometimes the noise of it all can outweigh the quiet moments we need to just breathe… and be grateful for what’s right in front of us.

This Branch season has taken us through 9 cities, and we’re traveling now for our 10th. We’ve shared space with over 600 dancers across multiple states. Some people may see that number and think it’s not a lot… but to me, it’s everything.

I never wanted The Branch to be about huge numbers. I wanted it to feel intimate, intentional, and impactful. I wanted dancers to walk in and feel seen, heard, and reminded of their worth..not just as performers, but as humans. Watching that happen, city after city, has been the biggest gift.

None of this would exist without the people standing next to me. From the behind-the-scenes helpers, my senior assistants to my teachers pouring their hearts out every weekend… this journey is nothing without you. We’ve made memories that I’ll carry forever.

We’ve grown together, pushed each other, held each other accountable, and fed off each other artistically in ways I could’ve only dreamed of. This year, The Branch didn’t just feel like a team, we became a real family.

There will never be enough thank yous for the love, dedication, sweat, and heart every single person has poured into this season.

We’ve got 5 cities left and I can’t wait to finish this year strong.

Grateful is an understatement.
